The Association Resource Centre (ARC) is a full service management consulting and executive search firm specifically tailored to the needs of associations and charities. We are based in Toronto, but we have experience working with clients around the globe.

Services include strategic planning, executive search, board orientation, organization assessments, re-engineering of association governance and decision processes, fundraising, benchmarking and standards setting, team-building and other services.

The company’s founders and co-managing partners are Jack Shand and Ken Thacker. Jack Shand is a prominent leader in the non-profit sector. For ten years he served as president of the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Ken Thacker worked as an executive in the financial services sector. In 1982 he established a successful international consulting practice. They combined forces in 1997 to establish a consulting firm that specializes in the needs of non-profit organizations.
